Green Smoothie Bowls never get old. Even though they might all be green, you can add so many different things to them, that the flavour combinations are endless.
Today I used lots of the great fruit vegetables provided to me in my welcome basket by the lovely Jenny and Marc from Back2Earth , during my recent farm stay with the family.
The main feature of the colour of this bowl is spinach and spirulina. Spirulina is packed with powerful antioxidants, protein and B vitamins, especially B12 which is important for plant based or vegan diets. I used a tropical flavoured spirulina which is available in Australia, but any type will do. To make it convenient and extra thick I used frozen spinach in this smoothie bowl. It's cheap, easy to buy, and always in your freezer when you want to add it to smoothies, curries and lots more.
I hope you give this a try
