Cacao Chia Oats with Caramelised Banana

Cacao Chia Oatmeal with Caramelised Cinnamon Banana. A true winter warmer, as we head into the cooler months of Autumn here in Australia.

Topped with figs, blueberries, raspberries and pomegranate. Also topped with shredded coconut and made with coconut water for that extra coconut taste. I also added in some shredded zucchini for fibre and to help keep me full (you can't taste it) and added some Maca for that extra caramel taste, and superfood power. I love adding superfoods to my recipes as they are nutritional powerhouses, and each have so many amazing benefits, and I believe help keep me as well as I am.


Cacao Chia Oats with Caramelised Banana

(Serves 1)

1/2 cup rolled oats 1/2 zucchini grated (optional) 1/2 Tbsp chia seeds 1 tsp Maca 1 Tbsp Cacao 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup almond milk 1 & 1/2 cups coconut water 2 tsp granulated stevia (to taste) Pinch of salt Cook all ingredients over medium low until thickened.

Caramelised banana 1 banana slices in half lengthwise Sprinkle of cinnamon 1 tsp granulated stevia 1/2 cup boiling water Add banana, water and stevia to a non stick pan, sprinkle banana with cinnamon. Simmer at low while you make the oats until the water disappears
