Turmeric Maca Zoats

After having my first Turmeric Latte in Melbourne this week, I knew I wanted to incorporate the healing properties of turmeric in one of my favourite hot oats bowls.
This delicious oatmeal combines oats, dates , coconut milk, coconut water, tahini, Maca, Turmeric Spice Blend, stevia and zucchini, to create a filling and nutritious breakfast.
As always, zucchini is a great way to add some more vegetables to your day, plus it adds bulk and volume, without any flavour.
The Spice Blend I added called Rooted by Heal'r combines turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, dandelion root, chicory root, nutmeg, black pepper and coconut sugar. As you all know I love using spices in my oats to liven up the flavour - more than for the health benefits usually - But when I find spices that will also help with things like gut health, digestion, bloating, skin disorders, heart disease, and arthritis, along with anti-inflammatory and anti-acing benefits, I think well that's got to be worth a try.
I think I had my expectations set quite low, even though this had many of my favourite spices. I was a bit fearful it would taste like a curry! And I love curry, but not when I want Oats! Which was the reason it took me so long to try a turmeric latte as well! But it was delicious. One of the most delicious combos I've had for a while. A great mix of sweet & spice. Lucky my bowl didn't have a pattern on it, as there was some serious scraping happening at the end!
The spices mixed with the dates and the maca! Oh my!

It's a definite must-try combination.
I topped with a splash of coconut milk, passionfruit, kiwi, fig, strawberry and pepitas.
I hope you give it a try!
